A complete medieval to post medieval double faced cast lead alloy circular token of Powell Class 1 and 7. The token is decorated on one face with a design of nine spokes radiating out from a central point to the plain line border, some spokes are curved and meet, there are pellets between the ends of some spokes, near the border (Powell class 3). On the other is a grid design within a raised plain line border (Powell Class 7). A complete medieval or post medieval cast lead alloy circular uniface token, c. AD 1250-1800, Powell Class 14. The obverse is decorated with with a raised equal armed cross, with three or four pellets in each quarter all enclosed in a raised line border. The reverse is undecorated. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be medieval or post medieval in date.
