An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age bow brooch of La Tene III type dating to c. AD 45 -61. The head of the brooch consists of the spring coil, this is made up of six coils. This end of the spring then wraps around the top, and is held in place by seperate loop attached to the top of the head. There is a worn break at the end of the spring where the pin would have attached. The bow of the brooch curves down from the head in a shallow C shape, narrowing towards the foot of the bow. An incomplete, copper alloy, Late Iron Age, brooch, 100 BC -AD.50. The brooch comprises the head, bow and catchplate, the spring is incomplete and the pin is missing. The brooch is undecorated, the catchplate is triangular and wide 12.44mm. Only one and a half of the spring coils remain. Similar examples can be found in Hattatt 2000 pg.290, fig.149 no.12

A possible fragment of an Iron Age to Roman copper alloy brooch, dating to c. 1st Century BC to 1st century AD. The fragment is possibly part of the bow of a brooch, and is triangular in shape, narrowing towards the foot.The bow has been distorted out of shape slightly. Down the centre of the bow is a groove, this also narrows towards the foot. At the head the bow bends at ninety degrees, after this there is a worn break. Only the upper half of the bow, spring and part of the pin survive. It is missing the lower part of the bow and the catchplate. A fragment of a Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age, cast copper-alloy razor dating to c.800BC-600BC. The razor has a trapezoidal shaped blade in plan and appears to consist of the lower portion of a razor. On the front face, it is decorate with two grooves separated by two moulded ridges, the lower ridge is narrower than the upper one. The reverse is undecorated. Five sherds of handmade pottery vessels, probably dating from the Iron Age. The largest sherd, which is part of a storage jar or cooking pot, is sub-rectangular in plan, has vertical sides and a beaded rim. The fabric of this sherd is dark grey, slightly vesiculated and has finger impressions on the outer surface. The four other sherds are smaller, more highly abraded and are made from mid-grey fabrics with frequent small inclusions. nb.Dimensions quoted below are for the largest sherd in the group.

A slightly abraded body sherd from an Iron Age upright vessel. The sub-rectangular sherd has a dark grey core with small stone inclusions; the surfaces are light pinkish-brown, there is sooting on the inner face and lines of impressed cord decoration on the outer face. The fineness of the vessel, and rilling on the inside, suggest this pot may have been thrown or finished on a wheel.

A Middle Iron Age cast copper alloy bow brooch belonging to Hawkes and Hull's Type 1a (5th to early 4th millennium BC). The bow is rounded and thickened and hollow on its lower side. The spring and pin are missing. There are traces of iron deposits and copper alloy corrosion spotting. The bow of the brooch is decorated with a cast multi-stranded double scrolling design. Iron Age copper alloy toggle ? 14mm long, 14mm wide at loop and 7mm in diameter, with a weight of 4.72grams. The object consists of an oblong body which is decorated with two lines of sub- spherical protrusions which are flanked by three raised lines. Attached to one of the objects long narrow sides are two circular suspension loops with rectangular sections which sit side by side and are joined at their base.

A slightly bent but almost complete copper alloy late Iron Age-early Roman, Nauheim-derivative bow brooch. The spring is in two parts. One side has two turns round the axis bar [there were probably three] that lead into the pin, whereas the other side is made up of three turns which make a false non functional spring. Probably an Iron Age cast copper alloy mount. The decorative boss bears a striking resemblance to a great diving beetle. It has similarities to the Roman 'coffee bean' mounts (see LANCUM-39CE20 and LANCUM-BD34A4) but the plate shape is not rectangular and the execution is more Iron Age (see DUR-8078F8 and LVPL-59AD07) or possibly Romano British. The bow of a cast copper alloy Alesia type brooch. Mackreth Alesia Group 1:c2. Rolled-under head is incomplete and wuld have held an iron axis bar. There is a globular foot knop, and a long triangular ctachplate at teh reverse. There is no decoration visible. The sub-triangular-sectioned bow is very close to Mackreth 2011, 131, pl. 89 no. 8553.

An incomplete copper-alloy Rosette/Thistle brooch of Late Iron Age to Romano-British date. The brooch has a date range of c.25-60 AD. The brooch seems to have been formed of one piece. The wings of the brooch have an incomplete length of 20.55mm and are formed of metal 1.18mm thick. The upper and lower edge of the wings curved over to form a cylinder that would originally have contained the spring.
