A complete copper alloy knobbed terret ring dating to the 1st to 2nd century AD. The ring is oval in shape and circular to oval in section. It widens towards one side where there is a wide, flatter section between two moulded ridges. This area shows signs of wear and is likely to have been attached to a harness strap. These ridges have a groove around their circumference. Opposite this and on each side there are rounded projecting knobs surrounded by circular mouldings with a groove around their circumference. These are slightly higher at opposing ends and flat at the sides.
