A complete copper alloy dress hook dating to the post medieval period (AD 1500 - AD 1700). The dress hook comprises of a trefoil shaped main plate, decorated with a openwork knot design. Each running-end of the knot terminates in a plain pellet, which marks the join between the main plate and the sub-rectangular attachment loop. A D-sectioned hook extends centrally from the base of the main plate and curved backwards. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
