Post Medieval hammered silver coin, an Elizabeth I half groat of her third issue (North 2016), dates to between 1582 and 1583. Obverse has two small pellets behind the bust just above the shoulder and the initial mark is a bell. The obverse legend reads as E D G ROSA SINE SPINA. The reverse legend reads as CIVITAS LONDON. The coin was minted in London. The diameter is 14mm and the weight is 0.43g.
