An assemblage of 20 pieces of grey ceramic vessel, some decorated, of Early Medieval date, AD 400 - 700. They may be from cremation urns. They are all body sherds. The fabric is hard, dark grey throughout, with an irregular texture. There are frequent large (about 1-1.5mm), slightly rounded quartz or quartzite inclusions. An incomplete copper alloy barred mount, dating to the medieval period, about AD 1300 - 1400. It is a sub-rectangular sheet, which is angled at one end and has a concave notch in each side. Mounted at the square end is a transverse rectangular mount which is U shaped in cross-section. It is attached by a copper alloy rivet with a flat rove on the reverse. A copper alloy ring thimble dating from the Post Medieval period, about AD 1550 - 1600. It is an open thimble with a pair of ridges forming a border top and bottom. There is no visible seam. The pits are circular and neatly executed in a spiral that runs up to the right in 7 rows. There is possibly a maker's mark at the start of the spiral but it is too worn to be certain it is not a larger pit. The thimble has a smooth green patina. It has a full-round waisted top knob, a narrow head-plate with chamfered sides and behind it, a single loop to support the spring mechanism. The surface is worn and corroded obscuring any decoration on the wings. The bow has a central ridge and tapers to a point but the foot is missing. It is 36.5mm long, 24.5mm wide and 12.9mm thick. It has a hexagonal frame, of D shaped cross section, with a recess for the copper alloy pin which is rectangular in cross-section. The brooch is decorated with four blue enamel or glass settings at four of the corners. There is a plain metal swelling at the remaining two corners, and a transverse ridge in the centre of each side.
