Iron spearhead, possibly dating to the roman period. The tip is missing, the blade of the spear has a central ridge running up both sides, making it look lonzenge shape in section. The socket of the spear which is hollow and circular in section is broken although the main shaft survives. The shaft tapers from the tip to the bottom, near were the shaft flares out to the blade there are three linear grooves.

A cast Iron cross, with wood inlay. Post-medieval date and christian in style. At top of iron cross is a hoop. On face side of cross, three strips of wood have been inlaid - one long strip on the vertical axis, and two for each arm of the cross. There are four rivets holding the wood to the iron base - one is fixed to the bottom of the cross, and the other three are spaced equally across the arms of the cross. A wooden handle with copper alloy in between the two pieces of wood. It is held together with four rivets. The wood tapers to a point at the end which is furthest from the metal. Only a small amount of metal protrudes from where the wood has been broken.

A cast copper alloy mount, post medieval in date, possibly part of a horse's fittings. It is roughly circular in shape and there is a raised cenral circle with a ring around it. Outside the circle is a repeated pattern of a leaf shape, followed by a narrow triangle. The reverse is concave and has two raised areas which would have formed attachments, these both have some lead encrustation around them.

A cast post medieval copper alloy mount. It is aroow shaped with a circle at the point. Two small circular raised areas remain on the reverse which would have been for attachment. The surface has had a gold coloured enamel on it, of which only a few tiny fragments remain.

A cast copper alloy post medieval pendant, possibly from a horse's fittings. It is quatrofoil in shape with one quater being extended into a loop for suspension, which is at a 90 degree angle to the faces. Each face is decorated with a raised pattern which seems to extend to thesuspension loop. The surface looks to have had some kind of enamelling on it originally. The surface is now a dark reddish-brown colour.

A handmade iron nail. Severly rusted and broken into two pieces. The head is 21mm accross and the total length of the two pieces is 82mm. Found near base of old stone cross, on public footpath to stone cross. Field had been recently ploughed. Approximately half a mile from Sawley Bridge, upstream.

A copper alloy die probably post Medieval in date. Not quite a regular cube in shape , with one side being slightly longer than the others. The sides are marked with dots representling the numbers 1 to 6 . 6=4 are facing as are 1=2 and 3=5. The surface is smooth and slightly shiny, it is a dark grey with a thin layer of green.

Copper-alloy, Roman headstud brooch, possibly 3rd century, although heavily corroded. The headstud is pirform shape and integrally cast, and the wings and neckband would have supported a head loop which is recently broken. The brooch would have had a hing pin at the back which has been lost. It has a well arched flat faced bow of heavy construction which tapers towards the catch plate which is missing.
