An incomplete fragment of a copper alloy stirrup dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The front of the object is decorated with three raised vertical ridges. The rear face is undecorated. Extending out from the one side of the cover-plate the stirrup arm (broken into two parts) curves inwards. The stirrup arm is D-shaped in cross section and widens and flattens where it terminates in an ancient break.
