Cast copper-alloy strap end mount of vine foliage design and two rivet holes. One rivet appears to be missing, but the other one (which was probably made from iron, judging from the red corrosion around the rivet hole) is still in place. The hook is bent and the loop of another mount still attached to it (mount is broken off though).

Small gilt cast copper-alloy mount of Late Medieval date (ca. AD1400-1600). The surface is very worn and the patters (a tree or shrub?) is hardly recognisable. However, small flecks of gilding remain in some of the deeper grooves. The reverse is plain and no means of attachment or suspension can be found (rivet holes or loops).

Cast cu-alloy mount, probably off a casket or box. It is long and curved and while the reverse is plain, the obverse is decorated with moulded decoration (grooves). It might possibly display the armour-clad arm of a knight and have served as a decorative mount rather than a supportive one. There are two rivets sticking out of the reverse - they are both made from cast cu-alloy, very worn and rounded.

Cast lead decorative object, possibly a mount in the form of a skeleton. It has cast decoration on both sides and appears complete. One side is more worn than the other and so the decoration is not as clear. The object has a central motif of a skeleton with arms raised up to horizontal. The head is above the edge of the object and so sticks out. There are 4 circular holes, one below each arm and also 2 where the feet should be. The use of skeletons as a motif is most common around the 17/18th centuries. For example they are often used on 17th and 18th century mourning rings.

Cast cu-alloy mount dating from the Roman period, i.e. c. AD43-410. The mount is dome-shaped and complete with an undecorated reverse and moulded, circular decoration on the obverse. It also has two small loops which are set opposite each other at the rim of the dome. However it is more likely that they were rivet holes rather than suspension loops, as this mount was probably worn as a belt or strap decoration.

A cast lead alloy mount, probably dating from the late post-medieval or early modern period, i.e. c. AD1700-1900. The mount depicts a horse's head wearing a halter and with ridged decoration representing the mane. The head has been broken off by the neck and could possibly have been part of a whole horse. 14th century heraldic harness mount which consists of a rod with a heraldic shield-shaped terminal on one end and a wider, probably hollow terminal which would have fitted into a mount accommodating several such fittings on the other end. The depicted animal is difficult to identify - either because of the condition of the artefact or due to crude enamelling. The animal resembles a giraffe, but an identification as stag, horse or doe might be more appropriate in this context. It might possibly be a deer or stag salient (springing) because both front legs are raised and the head is not …
