Copper alloy well rounded figurine possibly votive. In style could be Romano-British but there are no clear parallels. The style appears to be more likely Medieval bearing some resemblance with Irish matrona figurines although it could just as easily be a sphelter art deco representation of an earlier type of figurine. There is an aperture on the reverse which may have been for a stand or it could be a handle. The length is 50mm and the width is 25mm. Shares some similarities with LVPL-6623EA, and LVPL-E4CDFE.

Complete but worn cast lead or lead alloy figurine dating from the medieval to post medieval period (c.AD 1300-1800). The object is cast from a three dimensional mould and probably depicts the Virgin Mary or another saint holding the child Christ on their right side. The object is extremely worn with the reverse largely removed and the wear obscuring the facial details of the two figures depicted. It is possible the obj…

Post Medieval lead alloy flat back figurine or mount depicting the Temptation of Adam and Eve. Largely complete but there a few break scars evident. It has hard to be precise on dating, partly due to a lack of close parallels, but the style is reminiscent of the period from c1550 to c1750 AD, though it may be a few decades older or newer. Length 94mm, width 73mm, and weight 163grams.

A complete lead alloy anthropomorphic figurine of unknown date. The object is moulded on the front and flat on the back. The figurine takes the form of a representation of a child. The figure is cast in one piece and is relatively crude in both shape and design. The relatively crude style combined with his pose might indicate an early date, possibly in the Roman period. However, it is equally possible that it may belong to a more modern period, perhaps in the 17th-18th centuries, when Classical art was a popular cultural influence. Therefore, until such time as a close parallel is ide…

A complete Post Medieval lead-alloy figurine, dating to the period c.AD 1700-1850. The figure is in the form of a woman bent over with her bonneted head between her legs, and her skirt pulled up to reveal her buttocks and genitalia. The workmanship is crude, and the object is worn. The facial features are worn and damage across the face and diagonally up the leg probably occurred due to the plough. The reverse which is bent across the centre where it has been damaged, probably due to the plough, would have been flat and may have been attached to another object or surface. The object h…

Copper alloy head of a figurine probably Post-medieval in date 1600-1800AD. It is not a Roman bust of Mars, since the only deity shown with a beard is Hercules, and he is never shown wearing a helmet; also the shape of the beard, slightly pointed and with the well-defined moustache, is not Roman in style. The bust is very well cast and it would seem likely that it is either a Victorian statuette mixing classical and modern styles or a foreign import. The length is 43mm, the width is 30mm, thickness 20mm and the weight 61.41g.
