Copper alloy object probably a pair of compasses or possibly dividers used by woodworkers and metalworkers. Likely to be Roman although they could be later into the early medieval period 70 to 1100 AD (Pers Comm. Alex Croom 24.04.16). The length is 83mm, the width is 22mm and the weight is 27.01g.
