Copper alloy object possibly part of Roman military equipment. The object is broken at both ends, it has a central shaft which is circular in section, and tapers towards on end. At the other end of the shaft on one side starts a wing, which flares out in a crescent shape, with a concave edge, this 'wing' ends as the shaft starts to taper, the side of the wing that leads to the shaft is vertical and just before the shaft has a slight indentation, convex groove.
