A complete Modern white metal harness fitting/distribution loop (c. 1800-c. 1950).
This fitting has an oval-shaped frame which is oval in cross-section and measures. At one end there is an integral pear-shaped knop which is oval in cross-section. Extending from this knop is an integral roughly 'D'-shaped loop which is at right angles to the other loop and is fixed (not swivelling). Both loops are oval in cross-section. The length is 85mm, width is 33mm and the weight 40.76g.

Copper white metal alloy mount probably dating to the Post-medieval period 1500 - 1700AD. The mount has four attachment spikes probably for fitting to textile such as a tunic or cloak. There are traces of gilding on the mount. The length is 46mm, the width is 38mm and the weight 21.81g.
