Late Mesolithic to Early Iron Age chert microlithic burin. It has been formed on a tertiary piece of black chert debitage. There is wear gloss on most of the chert. The burin has been formed at the distal point with the removals creating a point 2mm high. A small area of low angled, scaled, semi-invasive retouch to one of the distal shoulders has produced a notch that could also be utilised as a tool.
