Late post-medieval cu-alloy Nuremberg jetton of the 'turbaned bust' type of Hans Schulte III dating from c. AD1608-1612. The inscription on the obverse is: HANS SCHULTE ZV NVRN and on the reverse: GLICK KVMPT VON G[O]T IST WAR. Initial mark: rose. Mitchener 1416 -1417 (difference is 1.17 for first or 1.55 for second number.
The find was not seen by the local FLO; the information was emailed and the image was kindly supplied by finder.

A complete Post Medieval struck/hammered copper alloy Nuremberg Jetton. 1500 AD-1580 AD. It is worn on the edges of both obverse and reverse making it difficult to read inscriptions. Obverse is probably three crowns, alternating with three lis arranged around a central rose. Reverse is probably an imperial Orb surmounted by a cross patte,within a double stranded tressure of three arches and three angles. The diameter is 20mm. Jettons were used in accounting, with a chequered board or cloth.

Post Medieval copper alloy jetton. Probably produced in Nuremberg or Tournai. Dating to between c1500 and c1585 AD. The jetton is of the rose/orb type, with an inscription around the rim on both faces. Similar to those illustrated in Mitchiner (1988 p 382-386).
The diameter is 20mm.

A complete copper alloy Nuremburg jetton of Hanns Krauwinkel I or II dating to the period AD 1562 - 1635. Rose/Orb type. The obverse has [---] KRAVWINCKEL IN NV [-----] around alternating crowns and lis with central rose. Reverse: GOTES SEGEN MACHT REICH around Imperial Orb within tressure of three arches. A similar jetton can be seen in Mitchiner, p.443, no.1553. The diameter is 20mm and the weight 1.09g.
