A complete bright gold posy ring, with only slight distortion to circular form, and one fold in the edge at a point. Slight V section exterior form and flat interior face. Decorated externally with alternating curves around a central 'spine' reminiscent of crude feathering, with a frame at the top and bottom edge. Objects with a comparable decoration include BM 1961,1202.51 and BH-A3F837. Inside is inscribed 'A FRENDES GEFT' in capital letters case, with a four-pointed star between each word. A Medieval gold finger-ring. The hoop is of even width throughout, with a slightly concave exterior surface which is decorated with engraving including a black-letter inscription in French which reads: a ma vie ([He/She Has My Life).
The words of the inscription are separated by engravings of flowers and punched decoration resembling bunches of grapes. The beginning of the inscription is identified by a six-pointed star. The ring is gold; the engraving may originally have been enamelled. It dates from the fifteenth century.

A medieval finger ring of hollow construction. The hoop is cast to include three hollow spaces in which separate engraved panels have been inserted. Each hollow space is bordered by a toothed edge to imitate beading. Between each panel the hoop itself is decorated with the cast motif of an open book, made up of a pair of wedges joined at their sharp edges and with their wider edges and tapering faces decorated with grooves to resemble the page edges. A gold ring with an image of the Virgin and Child etched onto the bezel. The ring has a flat oval bezel with a raised frame around it cast in. Within the bezel is an image, formed by casting and incising (?) of the Virgin and child. The child has a halo and is swaddled. The Virgin is crowned and holds the baby on her right hand side. This image and the bezel runs across the finger.
