Copper-alloy Roman penannular brooch, missing its pin (c. 25 BC - AD 100). The brooch frame is oval-sectioned with pinched terminals - i.e., both ends are folded back on themselves, and decorated on the upper face by vertical grooves. The object is dark brown in colour. It is 34.63mm in length, 31.48mm in width and 4.73mm in thickness. It weighs 5.23g. Hattatt (Ancient and Romano-British Brooches, 128-9) dates this type of brooch to the 1st century AD, classifying it as type D.

A lead alloy bucket. It has a circular base and probably conical sides, widening at the mouth of the bucket, however this is not certain as it has been crushed or possibly folded in on two sides. On the obverse there is an African's head facing left and wearing a crown with Prince of Wales plumes. On the reverse is a drop shaped pineapple. It is triangular in section, being a blunt point on one side, and crescent shaped, but not symmetrical across its break, being more pointed at one end than the other. The blade is not facetted. There is some loss of material from the faces. Along the broken face there is a suggestion that it might have been hollow and therefore a section of socketed axehead, but this is not definitive. A cooper alloy pommel cap from a sword or knife. It is circular in shape. There is a central flat ring, and from this the two faces are convex. There are circular holes present top and bottom for fixing to the hilt, these might suggest a knife or dagger pommel rather than one for a sword. There is no apparent decoration, and there is some pitting on the surface, although it has an even, dark green patina. It is probably an Oakeshott Type G style. An almost complete copper alloy brooch of headstud type. The bow has a moulded stud on the curve at the top. The short wings extend either side of the head, and above these the plate on which the missing spring and pin would have mounted is present, decorated with three horizontal lines. The bow ends with a circular foot. The catch plate is present but incomplete. The cylindrical mount for the spring is still on the reverse but is incomplete. A complete copper alloy dress hook The artefact body is broadly circular, with openwork moulding in the form of four circles either side of the central motif. In the base is a V shaped frame and sitting in this is a relief moulded pineapple or pine cone. Fragment, probably one third, of a possible Iron Age to Early Medieval copper alloy strap distributor. It would originally have been circular in plan (see reconstructed image), and is flat in section. There is ring and dot decoration on one face. Suggested date range c400 BC to c1066 AD. Other suggestions for object type include fob dangler, openwork disc brooch, and even Early Medieval continental sun disc. Length 52mm, width 41mm, thickness 4mm, weight 14.9g. A probable lead alloy spindle whorl. It is bi-conical in shape but rounded. It is worn but discernible on both sides is a pattern of lines and dots. It has a grey patina, the central hole is either slightly mis-moulded with an inset line on both sides or alternatively has the remains of a concretion in it. The patination (or lack of) would suggest a later date although the hole diameter might suggest an early medieval date.
