Probably a complete copper alloy Door Knob Spear Butt of Roman or Early Medieval date, circa 200-300 AD or 500 to 600AD. The object comprises a hollow shaft, tapering slightly from the open end before expanding where it joins the door knob terminal. The terminal is bulbous and also hollow and it has a rounded base. The metal is pitted and mottled with a mid-brownish patina. The length is 54mm, the width is 44mm diameter of base 40mm and the weight 114.75g.

A complete copper alloy trade weight, one of a set that would have stacked. It is circular with a raised rim, and the weight would suggest that it is 1/2 ounce. Inside are the stamps of a laver or coffee pot, the inspection mark of the Worshipful Company of Founders, who controlled the lawful making of weights in London and for three miles around (Withers and Withers 2011, page 78). A small, domed copper alloy button with a hollow back, into which the shank, which is broken, is fixed. The face is decorated with a moulded, regular floral design, and has been gilded. The makers name is moulded around the edge on the rear of the button. A Roman copper alloy finger ring. The ring is in poor condition, and is no longer circular as the shank has been broken and flattened in antiquity. The bezel survives and is decorated with a 'bullseye' pattern typical of the period. The outer ring has red enamel remaining, the next circular cell has no enamel. Then a further cell contains what would have been white or yellow enamel and the centre is again empty, but was likely to have been enamelled also. Copper-alloy Roman penannular brooch, missing its pin (c. 25 BC - AD 100). The brooch frame is oval-sectioned with pinched terminals - i.e., both ends are folded back on themselves, and decorated on the upper face by vertical grooves. The object is dark brown in colour. It is 34.63mm in length, 31.48mm in width and 4.73mm in thickness. It weighs 5.23g. Hattatt (Ancient and Romano-British Brooches, 128-9) dates this type of brooch to the 1st century AD, classifying it as type D.

Post Medieval copper alloy 'Pineapple Penny' token of Barbados. On the obverse there is an African's head facing left and wearing a crown with Prince of Wales plumes. On the reverse is a drop shaped pineapple. It is triangular in section, being a blunt point on one side, and crescent shaped, but not symmetrical across its break, being more pointed at one end than the other. The blade is not facetted. A cooper alloy pommel cap from a sword or knife. It is circular in shape. There is a central flat ring, and from this the two faces are convex. There are circular holes present top and bottom for fixing to the hilt, these might suggest a knife or dagger pommel rather than one for a sword. An almost complete copper alloy brooch of headstud type. The bow has a moulded stud on the curve at the top. The short wings extend either side of the head, and above these the plate on which the missing spring and pin would have mounted is present, decorated with three horizontal lines. The bow ends with a circular foot. The catch plate is present but incomplete. The cylindrical mount for the spring is still on the reverse but is incomplete. It would originally have been circular in plan (see reconstructed image), and is flat in section. There is ring and dot decoration on one face. Suggested date range c400 BC to c1066 AD.
