Possibly a post-medieval beggar's token dating from the 16th or 17th century. The token is incomplete and was broken into three fragments: two large fragments and one small triangular fragment which is now glued back in place. The token is flat circular but no attachment loop, perforation or lug remains. The reverse is plain but on the obverse it is decorated with moulded decoration resembling a clockface. A flat lead alloy uniface token of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (c.AD 1200-1800). It has a starburst or 'cartwheel' design, and a mid-white patina. Dimensions: 19mm in diameter, 4.9g. There is a capital letter M in the middle just underneath a circular green blob, there is another to the right which could be a capital letter I or it could be a 1. Post Medieval biface cast lead or lead alloy circular token (Powell Class 1 and 7). The token has raised decoration on both faces. On one, a flower with six pointed oval petals, meeting at the remains of a central pellet. This one's casting is reminiscent of tokens that can be firmly dated to the Post Medieval so a general date of c1600 to c1800 AD is suggested. On the obverse there the letter "W" is very clear, however on the left side of the letter it appears it was mis-struck as there are two lines to the letter "W". The reverse has the letter "H".
