A complete medieval silver hammered penny of King Edward II (AD 1307-1327). Class 11b1, dating to AD 1312-14. Minted in Canterbury. North, II, 1991, p. 36, no. 1061/1.
Obverse: Crowned bust of king facing.
Obverse inscription: +EDWA R ANGL DNS hYB.
Reverse: Long cross quartering reverse and inscription. Three pellets in each quadrant.
Reverse inscription: CIVI/[...]/C[...]N/TOR.
It measures 18.11mm in diameter, 1.03mm in thickness, and weighs 1.10g. Die axis: 11 o'clock.

A complete medieval silver hammered penny, of King Edward II (AD 1307-1327), class 10cf5a2 possibly a mule with 10cf3b, dating to AD 1309-1310. Minted in Canterbury. See North, 1991, II, p. 32, no. 1043/1 and 1042/2.
Obverse: Crowned bust of king facing.
Obverse inscription: +[E]DWA R AGL DNS hY[B].
Reverse: Long cross pattee quartering reverse, with three pellets in each quarter.
Reverse inscription: CIVI/TAS/C[AN/T]OR.
It measures 17.24mm in diameter, 0.75mm in thickness, and weighs 1.17g. Die axis: 3 o'clock.

Medieval hammered silver coin of Edward II, a class 11b1 due to the style of the crown, bust, and lettering - with the closed C and E with angular backs, scroll tailed R and a fish tailed letter S which can still be seen on the reverse (North 1061/1). Initial mark is a cross pattee, the mint is Canterbury. Dates from c1310 to c1314 AD. Obverse legend reads as EDWA R ANGL DNS hYB. Reverse legend reads as CIVI TAS CAN TOR.
The diameter is 18mm and the weight is 1.20g.
