A complete medieval silver hammered penny, of King Edward I (AD 1272-1307), class 10cf2a dating to AD 1306-1307. Minted in Canterbury. See North, 1991, II, p. 32, no. 1041. Obverse: Crowned bust of king facing. Obverse inscription: +EDWAR R AGL DNS hYB. Reverse: Long cross pattee quartering reverse, with three pellets in each quarter. Reverse inscription: CIVI/TAS/CAN/TOR. It measures 18.03mm in diameter, 0.72mm in thickness, and weighs 1.31g. Die axis: 7 o'clock.
