Post Medieval lead alloy shy cock in the shape of a cockerel. The flat figurine and it's thick oval base are a single cast piece. Shy cocks seem to have been a British phenomena that were popular from the late fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries. This one is unusual as it appears to be decorated on both sides. A similar looking example is illustrated as Type 1 Design 1 in Toys, Trifles & Trinkets 1200-1800 (Forsyth, H. & Egan, G., 2005, p.240, fig.7.1). Suggested date range c1700 to c1800 AD. One side has a split extending most of the way from the rim to the base. There is no material in it which probably suggests that it was a cup rather then a crucible, although some items like this have been listed on the database as bird feeders, see for example https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1047543. A lead alloy artefact which may be a part formed spindle whorl or gaming piece. It is circular with a central hole. One side is flat with a central depression running around it, leaving the inner and outer edges raised. The other side has three 'globules' raised above the base, leaving one flat area, the globules and flat part all covering approximately a quarter of the diameter. It has an even brown patina. Two pieces of a lead alloy object. It is triangular in overall form The front is decorated with two chevrons, which broaden near the top. The edge of the piece is fluted, a line runs just inside the edge and the chevrons cross this line to add to the decorative effect at the edge. There is a fainter central line running vertically between the two chevrons in the centre of the piece. The rear is also decorated. Along the edge is a line of ring and dot decoration. Inside this are two lines of interlaced circles, forming a double chain effect. There are also groups of …

In the middle of the triangles is a vertical line with a know at the top of it. The design in the bottom half is made of long, vertical parallel lines. A possible lead alloy weight or gaming piece. It is irregular in shape, being triangular at the bottom but with a circular top half. The base is also not straight and is 'kinked' halfway along, although this may be as a result of damage and not deliberate. It is flat on the front and back faces. The base is not smooth but has what may be symbols etched into it. It is difficult to discern if all of these are damage or deliberate but the horseshoe shaped symbol is obviously deliberate, the possible rune next to it is not so clear-cut. It is exceptionally large and heavy…

A lead alloy sub-rectangluar casting. It widens slightly from the foot to the broken end, and the foot is champhered on the rear. Also on the rear, the sides are bevelled inwards while the front is largely flat. On the front are patterns formed of stripes and a chevron, or just possibly a person walking as two of the stripes may represent feet. There seems to be a line across the top, under the break which extends across the piece horizontally. The rear too may have had a design because a stack of small horizontal lines, and a line of circles, is also visible. In size and shape it is …
