A lead alloy bucket. It has a circular base and probably conical sides, widening at the mouth of the bucket, however this is not certain as it has been crushed or possibly folded in on two sides. A section of the rim is missing, there is the remains of what was a handle on one side. Dimensions: It is 410mm wide and 250mm across the short, crushed sides, and 8.5mm deep

A complete lead alloy spindle whorl. It is plano-convex in shape with a domed side, rounded edges and a flat base with a central perforation  No decoration is present on either side and it classified as Walton Rogers form A1 (Walton Rogers, 1997, p.1731/1738). The whorl has an even fawn patina. The edge of the piece is fluted, a line runs just inside the edge and the chevrons cross this line to add to the decorative effect at the edge. It has a shiny, dark grey colour, except where it is damaged at the edge, when it is light brown. Similar domed weighs are known from the Viking camp site at Torksey, Lincolnshire, and it is possible that this is a similar object.
