A barbed and tanged arrowhead, formed by knapping. It is made of a pale semi- transluscent flint with some inclusions. It is slightly flatter on one side then the other, and the tip of one of the barbs is missing. Having been found near a beach it has been worn so no sharp edge remains, but the shape is consistent. Arrowheads such as these, see also NMGW-24C12C, are classified as Sutton Type B (Green 1980) are commonly associated with the emergence of the Beaker phenomenon in Britain. The largest piece is only 8.5mm by 3.5mm, the smallest 4.5mm by 3mm. There are 10 fragments in total, some showing evidence of secondary working. They appear to be the result of the knapping or retouching of one tool, possibly while sheltering in the lee of the boulder by which they were found. A small flint blade made from a pale greyish brown flake. It shows evidence of a bulb of percussion and concoidal ripples on the ventral side while the dorsal side has two largely parallel dorsal ridges converging at the proximal end where a flake has been removed along the middle. The distal end has been snapped off in antiquity and there is a very small area of cortex remaining towards this end. All edges show evidence of reworking. A flint thumb-nail scraper of very late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date c.2400-2100 BC. The flint is sub-rounded save for the striking platform edge. It has has short scaled abrupt retouch around the entirety of the rounded edges. The ventral face has been heavily rework to flatten the bulb of percussion with long invasive low angled retouch. Almost all the striking appears to be with heavy hammer technology. The scraper is a limid reddish yellow with mottling possibly from being exposed. Complete 'D' shaped scraper knapped from grey black flint and dating from the late Neolithic period 2500-2100BC, possibly a Riley Type 5 (Bond, C. Plate 5.112 and 5.113). The scraper is complete, made from a short, round flake with retouch along the total distal and halfway up the two mesial edges. Both the ventral and dorsal faces are very smooth with even ripple marks. Scrapers could have many uses from scraping the fat off animal skins, to scraping the bark off arrow shafts. The length is 42mm, width 34mm, thickness 6mm and the weight is 14.21g.

A blade is an elongated flake that was detached from a core-the rule of thumb being more than twice as long as it is wide. Blades were often modified and mounted in handles or hafts. This blade, dating to the Mesolithic period, is grey in colour, with almost half the cortex remaining on the dorsal face.It is blunt at one end and rounded at the other. There are several flaking scars and the edges are well worked. It measures 51.28mm x 14.67mm and weighs 3.16g.

However, we do not have a side view for this object (only two images were provided by the finder) so we cannot be certain. It looks to have pressure flaking on dorsal side. It was probably formed on tertiary debitage rather than a deliberate stuck core.

Late Mesolithic to early Neolithic secondary honey flint multi platform core with some fine retouch. The presence of residual chalk on the cortex indicates the flint is derived from a 'mined' source. It also shows that the original nodule was imported into the area in its raw state with the cortex largely intact.
