Cast cu-alloy cooking vessel leg dating from the late medieval or post-medieval period, i.e. ca. 1450-1700. The leg is complete and of short and stumpy form. It is roughly triangular in shape and a rounded triangle in cross section. Of all vessel parts legs survive best because they are very sturdy and thick. Sometimes a fragment of the vessel body survives around the top of the leg, but more often than not it does not, which could mean that the vessel leg was cast separately and soldered on to the vessel afterwards. Images of the artefact kindly supplied by the finder.
