Cast copper alloy vessel fragment, probably dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The fragment is a rim-sherd. It is V-shaped in plan and slightly curved in profile. The rim steps outwards slightly and is D-shaped in cross-section. The outer surface has a dark green patina, some of which has broken away. The internal surface is covered with regular horizontal grooves and has a dark green patina. There is a large diagonal groove on the internal face, which is likely to be plough damage.

A cast copper alloy vessel foot dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The object is from a cooking vessel and has been broken across the leg. The object is L-shaped in profile. Three prominent ribs run along the centre of the leg to the front. The object has a mid-green patina and is worn. A cast copper-alloy fragment: possibly a dish support from a late medieval/early post-medieval chafing dish. The object tapers to a point at one end. It has a trapezoidal cross-section and appears to have been broken away from another element at the wider end. Lewis (1973, p63-4) describes the type of vessel which he calls type B: "These vessels are cast in one piece and finished on the lathe. The only decorative features are single or double incised girth lines. Bowl and pedestal are about the same depth. The bowl has sloping sides above the carination, and the rim flares out to f…

An lead alloy object of uncertain function. The object is circular in plan and is D-shaped in cross-section. The flat face is rough and uneven with no visible pitting. Due to its undiagnostic nature it cannot be dated closely however the condition of the lead suggests a Post-Medieval date is likely. The object may have functioned as a palm guard however there are no diagnostic features. Palm guards were for use by a leather worker to protect the palm whilst stitching. Bailey (1995, 64-65) dates such objects to the 17th century onwards.
