Roman copper alloy barbarous radiate contemporary copy of Claudius II dating to the period AD 268 to c270 (Reece Period 13). The reverse shows the 'goddess' Providentia leaning on a column and holding a baton in her left hand with a cornucopiae in the right. The diameter is 18mm. The obverse inscription is IMP C CLAVDIVS [AVG], and the reverse inscription is PROVIDENT [AVG]. It is actually a rather poor copy . The prototype of this coin is RIC 5 (Claudius II), 90 of AD 268-70. The coin is damaged.
