An incomplete copper-alloy brooch of middle Iron Age date, c. 400BC - 100BC. The brooch comprises a low arched ovate bow with circular knops projecting from each cardinal point. The upper and lower knops are perforated by dome topped rivets. To the reverse the rivets can be seen projecting though not evidence of a catchplate or hinge remain.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The brooch is 30.1mm long, 14.6mm wide, 6.4mm thick and weighs 2.7g.

An incomplete copper-alloy shoe or clog clasp of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1700 - 1900. The clasp is rectangular in plan with parallel sides and rounded corners. Two smaller rectangular plates project from the centre of the two shortest end, both terminating in worn breaks. The front of the main plat is decorated with a border of wriggle work. The reverse is undecorated.
The metal has a dark brown patina and is worn. The clasp is 19.2mm long, 12mm wide, 1.4mm thick and weighs 1.4g.

An incomplete copper-alloy zoomorphic (bovine) mount of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1700 - 1900. The head is cast three dimensionally. It has a sub-triangular shape with U-shaped section due to the concave reverse. The front is elaborately decorated with wavering lines, likely representing long hair, a raised flattened snout, and scrolled ears of horns to either side of a break at the top.
The metal has a dark grey patina and is worn. The mount is 35.5mm long, 42mm wide, 3.6mm wide and weighs 12.6g.

An incomplete lead-alloy pilgrim's ampulla of medieval date, c.AD 1350 - 1550. The body of the ampulla is circular with an elongated rectangular neck extending from one edge. Part of the neck and upper body have been lost to worn breaks. A distorted attachment loop is present to the other side of the neck where it meets the body. The opening at the top of the neck has been pinched shut.
Both sides of the body display traces of molded decoration though it is now too worn to be determined.

An incomplete copper-alloy brooch of late Iron Age to early Roman date, c. 100 BC – AD 100. Uncertain type.
The brooch comprises a rectangular plate with a narrowed elongated trapezoidal foot to one end and an integral coiled spring to the other. The circular sectioned spring extends from the centre of one edge of the plate. It extends backwards and curves up and round to form a coil. The coil continues upward and curves over the central spring to form a second coil to the other side. The coil then extends downward to form the tapering sectioned pin.

Copper alloy annular brooch complete with pin, dating to the medieval period c. 1200-1400AD. The main part of the band is rectangular in section. The pin, which is also copper alloy, is square in section and tapers to a point. The upper surface of the brooch has two concentric grooves in between which has been stamped lettering reading 'ihc naza renus' (Jesus of Nazareth). The underside of the brooch is plain. See LEIC-09F89A on the database for a similar example.

The lead shot is spherical in shape, displaying a couple of nicks, a flat area and a small ridge, probably the remnants of the casting process.
It is a light to dark grey colour with an even surface patina.
It has a diameter of 12.2 MM, and weighs 8.9 grams.
Shot of this type and weight are normally attributed to use with muskets, and of 17th Century dating onwards.

A complete spherical lead alloy ball, probably a musket ball or shot, of Post Medieval dating (17th Century AD onwards).
The lead shot is sub spherical in shape. Flattening is present around the middle of the shot. Two semi circular depressions are present at one end, possibly tooth marks.
It is a light to dark grey colour with an even surface patina.
It has a diameter of 17.1 mm and a length of 17.5 mm, and weighs 29.7 grams.
Shot of this type and weight are normally attributed to use with muskets, and of 17th Century dating onwards.

An incomplete pressed white metal coated copper alloy clog clasp, of Late Post Medieval to Early Modern dating (AD 1790 to c. AD 1920).
The clog clasp is sub rectangular in plan, with straight sides. The remnants of hooks are located at the top and bottom of the clasp. The decoration on the front is of a foliate design, with curling leaves and tendrils. The reverse is plain and undecorated. No hall marks are visible. The clasp has been bent almost in half, with the front on the outside.
It measures 13.7 mm in length, 10.8 mm wide and 0.9 mm thick. It weighs 0.6 g.

A body sherd of probably medieval pottery from a ceramic vessel. The sherd is 87.18mm long, 57.5mm wide and 9.3mm thick. It is an orange coloured fabric with dull black angular inclusions, especially on the outer surface. There are also smaller white inclusions and some mica or quartz. The fabric is hard, rough and hackly. It is wheel turned. There is no glazing. This sherd is probably from a medieval pot, but only an expert with knowledge of local pottery types could determine the ware and exact date.
