It is an orange coloured fabric with dull black angular inclusions, especially on the outer surface. There are also smaller white inclusions and some mica or quartz. The fabric is hard, rough and hackly. It is wheel turned. There is no glazing. This sherd is probably from a medieval pot, but only an expert with knowledge of local pottery types could determine the ware and exact date.
