A broken copper alloy fixture or fitting probably of the post medieval period, AD 1500 - 1900. It comprises a bar of D shaped cross-section which is broken at one end. At the other end it bends backwards into a loop with the end of the bar butting against the back of the bar. The bar tapers towards the loop. It is undecorated with a green and brown patina. Dimensions are length 74.2mm; width 12.6mm; thickness 3.7mm; weight 23.53g. The function of this object is uncertain but it appears to be some type of fixture or fitting, perhaps a window hinge or the end of a tool handle or implement.

The weight is sub-triangular; shield-shaped with rounded edges and corners, having a flat top and sides tapering to a point. The edge is a border round a raised surface which is decorated with a raised moulded design of a crowned fleur de lis. An almost complete copper alloy Roman brooch dating from AD 75 - 200, a Thealby Mine type, now classified as a headstud varient of Colchester derivative hinged type. It fits well into Mackreth's CD H 17.1b group, especially number 7456 on plate 66. The head of the brooch comprises tubular wings which act as a hinge mechanism. The central hole is 5.7mm in diameter. It is of Walton Rogers form B2. The handle is a broadly trapeziodal; wider at the base with rounded lower corners and narrowed at the top with a short straight upper edge. A medieval to post-medieval lead spindle whorl dating to about AD 1450 - 1550. It is of Walton Rogers form C2, and is bi-conical with a thick median band. It is overall dark grey in colour and both sides are heavily decorated. A copper alloy coin; probably a contemporary copy of a Roman nummus dating from AD 300 - 400. Originally thought to be a styca, closer inspection suggests that the visible part of the design is a crude forward facing figure, with a cross on the right, rather than the central cross and surrounding letters that would be expected on a styca.
