A lead or lead alloy sphere of unknown purpose and unknown age. It is highly unlikely to be cannon shot for a couple of reasons. Firstly it does not conform to any known bore of the seventeenth century or later. Secondly, it is not solid lead as it is too light for its size. A cache of 18 cast lead-alloy musket shots of a larger calibre dating from the 17th-18th century. Except one which is slightly smaller and lighter (c.12.64g), they are all are relatively large (c. 17mm in diameter) and weigh between 32.74g and 33.71g. The musket balls come from a bag marked "17th-18th century musket balls from the foreshore of Sunderland Point" and had been kept at a nearby primary school as handling objects for their history classes.

Cast lead-alloy pendant, probably dating from the post-medieval or early modern period, i.e. c. AD1500-1800. The pendant was made from cast lead-alloy and is decorated with a large letter 'W' on the obverse. It is plain on the reverse. It probably had a small suspension loop at the top, set at a right angle to the pendant. The general shape, lay-out and position of the loop are reminiscent of medieval horse harness and heraldic shield-shaped pendants and it is possible that this is a later copy of one of those pendant or possibly a copy made for a child to play with. A cast lead alloy mount, probably dating from the late post-medieval or early modern period, i.e. c. AD1700-1900. The mount depicts a horse's head wearing a halter and with ridged decoration representing the mane. The head has been broken off by the neck and could possibly have been part of a whole horse. The reverse is hollow and it is possible that the head was attached to a wall or similar as an ornament. Dimensions: length: 89mm, width: 82mm, thickness: 5mm and weight: 140.49g.
