Probably part of a late Iron Age or early Roman crudely cast copper alloy dumb bell toggle dating from c100 BC to 100 AD. The toggle is comprised of two semi circular balls joined by a reel shaped element in the centre and is one piece. There is no evidence of an attachment loop. There is also the possibility that it relates to casting waste. Similar examples of toggles on the database are SWYOR-C88EE7, HESH-16B175, and SWYOR-BFAEE0 Length 20mm, width 7mm, thickness 7mm, weight 3.2g.

A complete Iron Age to Roman period toggle. It is cast in copper alloy, and consists of two spheres joined with a neck. The spheres are slightly flattened with a collar under them, and the neck extends between these collars, narrowing in the centre. It is not quite symmetrical, but in good condition.  There are many examples of varying dimensions on the data base, including GLO-6A8AF3 and  YORYM-CB1843 Dimensions: It is 17mm long and the spheres are 7.5mm in diameter, it weighs 5.37g

Unusual object that remains unidentified but could perhaps be a toggle for fastening clothing. The toggle is broadly circular in section, cylindrical in plan with tapering ends and a hole possibly for an attachment loop near one terminal. This object is difficult to date but it could be Late Iron Age - Roman 300BC - 410AD or even later. The object shares some similarities with LANCUM-3D1943 The length is 36mm, and the width is 10mm.
