This medieval coin (penny of Edward I) was reused as so-called 'love token', probably in the time of William III in the late 17th/early 18th century, which makes it identification difficult at best.

Medieval silver hammered penny of Edward I dating from c. AD1299-1300, possibly Class 9, North 1036-1037. The crown is too worn to tell if it's trifoliate (probably) or bifoliate. The legend is typical for Class 9 and earlier classes and the face has pellet eyes (typical for North 1036). The coin's surface is very worn to be certain, though.
