A Post Medieval copper alloy token probably dating 1600 - 1800AD. The obverse shows evidence of a fleur-de-lys decoration however corrosion prevents any clear distinction on both the obverse and reverse. The diameter is 38mm and the weight 20.66g. No clear parallels have been found for this object.

Cast lead stud/disc. Irregular in form. Front face demonstrates a central pellet in relief with a surrounding circular form. The reverse is plain. Possibly a miss-cast token. The site of recovery of the object could suggest however that this object is Roman in date and could therefore be a lead pot mend. These were used to hold broken vessels together before glue. A hole would be drilled into a broken vessel along the line of the break and then molten lead poured through which would harden on cooling (Cuddeford 1994 page 51).

Cast-copper alloy Coventry half penny token. Late 18th century. Reverse inscription 'PRO BONO PUBLICO' with an image of Lady Godiva, date worn away normally date inscripted 1792. Obverse is unusual instead of the normal elephant with tower on his back the penny depicts just a lone standing tower, little off center. Inscription on obverse reads 'COVENTRY HALF PENNY'

Cast cu-alloy provincial token coin of the late 18th century. Lancaster halfpenny token probably dating from 1791 or 1792. Obverse reads 'JOHN OF GAUNT DUKE OF LANCASTER' with the duke's head facing left. The reverse shows the arms of Lancaster reading 'LANCASTER HALFPENNY' with the date below. The edge of the token is inscribed 'PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE OF THOS. WORSWICK & SONS.x.'
