Cast decorative lead knop possibly used as a decorative fitting, stopper or cap. The front of the artefact demonstrates a large central pellet with 6 equidistant triangular segments projecting from this towards the outer edge. Decorating each segment are 5 dots in a linear form. These segments are separated by equal sized plain segments. The reverse of the artefact tapers slightly from the front of the artefact to form a collar at the back. This collar marks the edge of a slightly recessed area. Probably 17th-19th century in date.

Probably a post-medieval or early modern drop handle dating from the 17th-19th century. The artefact is worn but in good condition with a smooth surface which is however flaky in patches. It appears complete and there are no breaks anywhere. It is roughly heart-shaped with a straight (rather than a pointy) bottom. The only areas that show signs of wear at the inside edges of the heart suggesting the short straight side was attached to a loop which in turn was attached to the drawer.

Possibly a Post Medieval to Modern cast copper alloy door handle element. It is circular in plan with flat face & a domed face decorated with a circular outer border. It looks like the plate that attaches to the door and through which a square sectioned shank would pass. This in turn would open the door latch. Probably dating to between c1700 and c1900 AD. There is a groove that runs at varying depth, around the circumference of the edge. The perforation has been countersunk on the flat side. The diameter is 44mm, perforation diameter 17mm, the thickness 8.5mm, and the weight 41.16g.

Dating from c1660 to c1750 AD. The length is 28mm, the width is 34mm, maximum thickness 5mm, and the weight 5.8g. For a similar, but more complete, artefact see KENT-C6B427, ESS-2D798…

A complete Post Medieval lead-alloy figurative scene, dating to the period c.AD 1700-1800. The scene depicts a hunting scene with huntsman and hound and probably relates to a furniture mount. There are traces of blue and yellow paint on the figures. The huntsman is in the act of blowing a hunting horn with the hunting dog sat looking at him. From the style of dress the mount is post-medieval and was probably used in a manor house or similar as decoration. The object has a mid-grey to white patina. The length is 180mm, the width is 190mm and the weight too heavy for scales. The hunti…
