I have examined 13 early post-medieval coins reported found in the Lancaster Area of Lancashire. They are official English silver coins, and will thus have a silver content of 92.5% fine metal - the sterling standard. Extemely worn and bent post-medieval groat or fourpence (possibly) of William III dating from the later 17th or early 18th century. Possibly reused as love-token.
