A cast copper-alloy buckle frame fragment. Decoration consists of two cast parallel lines running the full length of the bar with multiple incised oblique grooves on the outer edge. there is also a centrally placed pin groove. Whitehead has this type of decoration on this type of buckle as late 15th to 16th century.

Post Medieval Georgian or modern silver buckle frame and tongue fragment. The countersunk decoration inside the border of the external face is a continuous zig zag motif. Remnants of a rather crude attachment indicate that the buckle may have been repaired at a later date & adapted into a brooch while retaining the original tongue. The rather worn hallmarks indicate it is Chester 1738 or 1913. Makers mark C.H. The absence of a duty mark doesn't aid with dating. The length is 30mm, the width is 17mm and the weight 3.82g. This object is a cast copper alloy spectacle buckle dating to the post medieval period (c. AD 1660-1720). The object is incomplete, only part of the pin is present attached to a wide strap bar but is in fair condition. There is a upstanding stud on one side of the buckle attached to a folded sheet plate. The loops are oval in form with a D-shaped cross-section which expands to a slight curved point on the outer edges of the frame. The length is 26mm, the width is 20mm and the weight 2.47g. The object is in fair condition and is cast copper alloy. It is rectangular garter buckle and has a double spiked tongue with a central plate attached to a supporting component, possibly what remains of the pin. The metal is very worn and has a brown-red patina. It is very similar to record PUBLIC-C9CD30 and YORYM-023A51. A buckle of this type are Post Medieval and date to circa 1720-1790. A similar example can be seen in Ross Whitehead. 2003. Buckles 1250-1800. figures 732-734, page 114, Greenlight, Witham, Essex.

Post- Medieval copper alloy double loop buckle frame with an integral central strap bar. The frame has two rectangular loops which are D shaped in section and have a diagonal grooved decoration on the upper edges. The pin is missing. It has a greenish-brown patina. A Post-medieval copper alloy buckle probably for a shoe dating between 1690-1720 AD. The buckle is sub-rectangular in plan with rounded corners and curved in profile, with a drilled frame. The centre spindle, pin and iron stud chape are all intact with some corrosion evident. The patina is brown. The buckle shares similarities with No646, No661 and No662 p102-3 Whitehead 2003. The length is 50mm, the width is 42mm, and the weight 3.10g. Whitehead. R. 2003. Buckles 1250-1800. Greenlight Witham Essex. The length is 36mm, the width is 48mm
