Single petal central boss. Crude, casting spurs either side central boss. Denuded dark brown, uneven surface. Some brassy colour showing through. Appears abraded. Hinged long pin attached where strap loop would have been, brassy colour, much more modern than piece. Re-used this century.

Medieval silver hammered penny of Edward I probably dating from c. AD1300-1305. Class 10b. North 1039. Possibly a Class 9/10 mule: the reverse (CIVITAS CANTOR) has pothook Ns (as in Class 9b, North 1037) and broader lettering while the obverse shows thinner lettering and the typical inscription for Class 10b. The find was not seen by the local FLO; the information was emailed and the image was kindly supplied by finder.
