An iron horseshoe (in two pieces) of probable Medieval to Post Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1600. It is of Clark type 4 (Clark, 2004, The Medieval Horse and its Equipment). It has a fairly narrow inner profile and no obvious calkins. The shoe has three nail holes on one side and four on the other with six rectangular headed nails extant or partially extant, each standing proud of the shoe. An incomplete wrought iron horseshoe of later medieval date. It has a rounded outer edge and an inner profile resembling a pointed arch. The artefact is highly corroded but generally survives well. The length is 115mm, the width is 117mm and the weight 126.32g. The style and size suggest a draught shoe and probably a dove shoe of circa 14th to late 15th century. Reference Ivan. G. An iron chisel blade, of unknown date. A Trapezoidal shaped bar with a rectangular shaped cross section. It has flat steep angled blade at the widest end then tapers towards a point at the other end. No parallels have been found for this find, although it is most likely to be of suggested Medieval to Post-Medieval, c. AD1200-1800 date. The length is 155mm, the width is 25mm thickness 27mm .

A heavy iron horseshoe of probably medieval origin. It has an arched shaped centre with roughly vertical sides, and the arch is not pointed, which indicates a sixteenth century date. The outside is a more rounded shape. It is not possible to tell if calkins are present, but possibly not. An iron horseshoe of uncertain age. It is asymmetric, one branch is pointed and one ends in a wide, blunt end. Iron axehead, possibly Late Iron Age but more likely Post-Medieval or modern. If it did date from the LIA, it would be a very rare Lancashire find indeed. The object is heavily corroded, but the socket and blade are still readily recognisable. Early Iron Age axes were made from forged, not wrought iron and it was difficult to form whole 'sockets' as were known from LBA socketed axes. For iron axes like this the wings needed to be reheated and hammered into the required shape. Probable late Iron Age to early Roman iron and copper alloy linch pin head that is heavily corroded and concreted. It is angled correctly and the disc visible on the object is where it would be expected to be for a linch pin of the period (for example see LANCUM-E78098). Dates to between c100BC and cAD100. The object measures 27 x 17 x 13mm and weighs 6.4g.

A probable iron horseshoe. The toe and one branch survive. Although it may be a result of corrosion the outside edge of the shoe appears to be wavy edged. One side of the shoe is flat, the other slightly curved. The remains of round headed nails are seen in possibly two of the holes, which coincide with the shape of the rim. There are other holes, six in total,  the one at the end of the shoe being elongated, although these are now filled with corrosion products.
