Early Post Medieval hammered silver coin of Elizabeth I, a halfgroat of the sixth coinage (N 2016). Probably clipped. Initial mark is a woolpack and the mint is London. Obverse depicts a bust facing left with two pellets in the ground and the legend reads as E D G ROSA SINE SPINA. The reverse is a long cross fourchee over square shield and the legend reads CIVI TAS LON DON. Dates to between 1594 and 1596 AD.
The diameter is 18mm and the weight 0.92g.
