Early Roman cast copper-alloy zoomorphic Dragonesque brooch, incomplete as the tail is missing and also the pin. A crudely made example with angular edges, unlike most others this has a reversed 'S' shape. The reverse is flat with many parallel scratch marks which probably derive from the movement of the pin. The obverse is decorated with a 'Celtic-style' moulded decoration and there are circles in relief on each 'dragon's head', mimicking an eye and a smaller nostril. An incomplete cast copper alloy Romano-British one-piece Colchester type brooch. Behind the flat rectangular wings is a copper alloy spring with four surviving coils. The other half of the coils and the pin are missing. On top of the head is a forward facing hook to secure the spring. The plain bow is hexagonal in section and tapers to a plain pointed foot. Cast cu-alloy headstud brooch dating to the Early Roman period. The brooch is almost complete and in very good condition with only the spring and pin missing. Bow, headstud, spring case and loop (for suspension of beads, etc?) are still intact. Bow and head are very sturdy, with a rectangular cross-section and limited amount of decoration: there are two thin grooves on the bow and two more around the headstud as well as vertical grooves (possibly a reel motif?) on the sides of the cross bar (see image). Cast copper alloy Headstud type bow brooch dating from c.70 through to the late 2nd century. The brooch is mostly complete although the catchplate and pin are missing and the headloop has broken off. It is a hinged type and the top of the pin is still present. The wings are broken at the ends but would have had square ends. They have moulded steps from the centre to the end. Cast cu-alloy trumpet brooch dating from the early Roman period, i.e. c. AD75-175. Only the main part of the bow and the head remain; spring, pin rest and pin are missing. The surface of the brooch is very corroded, but the moulded reel-and-acanthus decoration is still visible. The brooch, however, did not bear any enamelled decoration like some of the more elaborate examples do.

Enamelled cast cu-alloy Dragonesque brooch dating from the 1st century AD. The brooch is incomplete with one of the heads of the brooch's body missing as well as the pin. The brooch was cast having small 'cloisonne'-style fields on the obverse whilst the reverse was plain. The obverse fields were filled with different coloured enamel, probably red and blue. They made of a geometrical and floral pattern and there was also enamel on the remaining head of the brooch, especially around the circular 'eye'. Probably a fragment of cast copper alloy Roman headstud brooch (75-175 AD). Only the bow of the brooch survives below the head survives. It is sub triangular in section with what would have originally have been bright blue enamel lozenges along the apex . The recess for the headstud is intact and it would have been attached by a rivet. At the base, the foot is missing. A concave recess suggests that this was also a separate stud which is now missing. The catch plate and the base of the bow are missing. The length is 22mm and the thickness12mm.

Extremely corroded bow and head fragment of a Roman trumpet brooch dating from the early Roman period, i.e. c. AD75-175. The brooch has lots its foot, half its bow, the spring and pin. The remaining part of the bow still retains, however, the typical trumpet-shaped head, the petal-and-reel (or acanthus-leaf) decoration in the top centre of the bow. A complete copper-alloy Roman penannular brooch dating from c. AD43-410. The brooch frame is complete and survives in an excellent condition, with a pitted but high shine patina which has worn under the pin loop, giving it a brassy appearance. Both terminals survive, both culminates in round knops, decorated with incised lines, arranged in a spiral formation. Cast copper-alloy Headstud brooch, Hattatt No. 35: Hinged pin type with bronze axis bar but without the for this brooch type typical chain loop. "It does not have any enamel decoration, unless the stud originally held some. The wings are step grooved in the usual Headstud manner", but without the knurling on alternative ribs. The round foot knob is undecorated "It is plain underneath. The stud has a frontal kick and the face of the bow is shaped to a smooth rounded channel from stud to foot. A fairly plain Headstud brooch, but nicely worked. Probably second half of the second century AD.

Cast copper-alloy Roman Trumpet brooch, complete except for the pin. The pin was part of a hinge mechanism and there is no spring coil underneath the plain trumpet-shaped head. The small head stud is plain and the large, heavy bow is decorated with the for this brooch type typical alternating petal/reel mouldings. Furthermore, it seems that at some point, after the foot had broken off it was replaced/repaired with a small metal sheet (probably bronze) which was attached to the remainder of the original foot with two very small rivets which are fragmentary today.
