Fragment of ac ast cu-alloy unidentified object, probably a post-medieval or early modern door handle/ring dating from c. AD1700-1900. the fragment has an oval cross-section and is gently curved, suggesting it was used either as handle or possibly, as a bracelet. Bronze Age bracelets of similar shape and size are known, but this is only a fragment and the surface is too worn to make out a decoration. Most BA bracelets would have been decorated near the opening, usually a moulded grooved decoration, whilst post-medieval and early modern door handles/rings are undecorated. Therefore, a …
