Silver halfcrown of George III, dated to 1817 The obverse bears the bust of the king laurate, small head right. Legend reads GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA The reverse has the crowned garter and shield, surrounded by the motto of the Order of the Garter HONI SOIT QUE MAL Y PENSE. The legend around the edge of the coin reads REX FID DEI BRITANNIARUM The coin is degraded with the surface flaking off, particularly on the obverse. The reverse has brown staining which may have been acquired while in the ground Dimensions: 31mm diameter and 1.5mm thick, it weighs 7.6g

Probably a Post Medieval copper alloy George I first 'dump' issue halfpenny. The faces of the coin are quite degraded but what appears to be the right facing bust of George I is just about discernable in favourable light. The diameter and weight also conform to proposed issue, rather than the larger second issue. Probably dates to between c1717 and c1718 AD. Diameter 25mm, weight 5.79g.

A complete medieval silver hammered groat of King Edward IV (AD 1461-1470, 1471-1483), of the Second Reign (AD 1471-1483). Type XVIII with no fleurs on cusps on breast or above crown on obverse. Initial mark on obverse of pierced cross with pellet in second quarter; initial mark on reverse of pierced cross with pellet in third quarter, dating to c. AD 1477-1480. Mint: London.
