A complete milled silver shilling, probably of William III (AD 1694 to AD 1702), probably dating to the period AD 1694 to AD 1702. Probably MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX reverse type depicting crowned cruciform shields. Mint uncertain, probably London. Obverse and reverse have been worn smooth and bent into an S shape for reuse as a love token. One side has been counterstamped with the word: HUNTER. Spink 3497-3519.
