Post Medieval contemporary forgery of a third coinage fourth head Laurel or 20 Shilling of James I. Mintmark spur rowel. The surface's gold coating has largely been lost and the metals (largely fairly poor gade silver) beneath somewhat eroded. It is, however, surprisingly legible. Dates of original coin from c1619 to c1620 AD, suggested date range for the copy c1619 to c1625 AD.
Diameter 37mm, weight 5.69g.

A silver sixpence of James I of England. It has possibly been folded, perhaps as a love token, which practice seems to have been maintained over a long period of time. The obverse face is very worn, and the legend largely illegible. The reverse carries a shield and the legend reads QVAE_______NEMO SEPARET, as well as the date 1605
Dimensions: 2.4mm diameter and weighs 2.67g.
