Medieval clipped hammered silver coin, probably a post treaty penny of Edward III, with a cross on the breast (North 1292). The initial mark is a cross potent. Dates to between 1369 and 1377. Obverse legend would read as EDWARDVS REX ANGLIE. Mint is probably London with the reverse legend CIVI TAS [LON DON]. However it may possibly be a Richard II early type 1a of the Durham mint with the portrait of Edward III. Unfortunately, due to the clipping, it is probably impossible to be certain which type of coin it is. The diameter is 17mm and the weight 0.84g.
