A probable Roman period copper alloy keyhole or fantail brooch, as Hattatt Figure 168. The decorative feature is a circle, divided into quarters with two diagonal lines. Opposing quarters are filled with enamel in yellow and red. Attached to this are the corroded remains of a foot or other feature, with ribs running horizontally across this. A probable incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman cast copper-alloy vessel foot, possibly from a bucket. The object is Pelta shaped, semi-circular in plan with two shallow scoops formed inside this. Between the scoops are the remains of an iron fixing whihc is heavily corroded. The item has a slight bevel all around the edges. Each face is smooth, and the object has an even green patina.
