Complete posnet with only slight damage to the rim. The straight handle rises slightly above the horizontal, is tapering slightly and ends with a downward curve. It is supported at the body of the vessel by a brace. The three legs are straight and taper slightly towards the feet which are simply the ends of the legs angled to form a flat surface. The legs are flat-sectioned with a strengthening mid-rib. The body has a globular form with a sharp out-turned rim. There is no decoration or makers mark apart from a faint band around the circumference. It dates to the 14th to 16th centuries…

Lead handle in the shape in a bird (possibly a raven) from a post medieval tobacco jar. The handle is cast, and the edges of the casting are still visable. The bird sitting on a lozenge shaped bases which has a groove round the middle. The shaft is rounded, and fixes to the tobacco box by a rounded flat ended knob.

Copper alloy possible oil vessel, dating to the late iron age period. This vessel compremises of three part which have been broken in antiquity, but over all make up a oval shaped hollow vessel, in the shape of a bird, with the head as its spout. The first part is the body (58mm long, 22mm high), it is oval in shape with a concave shape to it. On the underside of the body (vessel) are four legs which are part of the original cast, and are four small stumps, to the back end there is a slight tapering of the vessel to a rounded point which looks like it could represent a tail. Three fragments of a copper-alloy enamelled vessel in shape of a cockerel. The pieces remaining are the lower part of the body, a large fragment of the upper body (wing) and the neck and head. The legs and feet are missing. The fragment of the upper body was the lid for the vessel, the hollow body of the cockerel (the lower part) the container of the vessel. Large fragment of medieval pot or ewer leg of the main type (straight and ridged). It is made of cast cu-alloy and slightly curved to accommodate the curvature of the vessel. Squashed lead vessel, possibly a holy water container from a church. It is complete with a straight-sided body (flat back and semi-circular front) and flaring neck. The area below the neck is decorated with three deep grooves, the reverse with three lead stripes. There is an edge in the lower part of the body where it possibly fit into a semicircular fitting, perhaps a horizonal metal strap. This strap would hold the lead vessel in place at the pillar.
