The ten coins range in date from AD69-79; all coins were minted under the emperor Vespasian, showing his head on the obverse. The collection was worth 20 asses, which is not an unreasonable amount to carry in a wrist-purse. Since we have no evidence of burial or of a container, it is hard to know whether these coins should be classified as a hoard or as a multiple casual loss.
