Early Post Medieval hammered silver coin, a penny of Elizabeth I. Probably clipped. Initial mark is lost and the mint is London. Obverse depicts a bust facing left with no pellets in the ground and the legend reads as E D G ROSA SINE SPINA. The reverse is a long cross fourchee over square shield and the legend reads CIVI TAS LON DON. Dates to between 1558 and 1603 AD. The diameter is 14mm and the weight 0.42g.
